Into the New Year

Last year, I thought it would be fun to make a “Transit Ridership Wrapped”. It was so fun, that I made another one this year. You can find it here.

A few takeaways: I started riding the bus a lot more in Seattle. My transit ridership is always seasonal – I prefer to walk or bike when it’s nice out – but the whole “getting a job” thing really padded my numbers. It also just wasn’t very convenient to use transit to get from our apartment on SE 20th in Portland to PSU, so I ended up biking from there much more than I did from our apartment on SE 15th in Brooklyn.

I also want to highlight some of my favorite pieces I did on this blog in 2025. You can browse them at your leisure.

  1. I Despise AI, May 22nd
  2. I Like The Preschool For All Tax, June 24th
  3. Tech Buses and the Death of the Public Sphere, December 19th
  4. Book Review: A Paradise of Small Homes, March 2nd
  5. Portland’s Greenway Problem, February 14th

Happy new year!
